(no subject)

We have successfully entered orbit around the planet Vespa. The Karura will be maintaining orbit for the next week. Shuttles are available if you wish to visit the planet. Any items purchased on the planet will be subject to inspection upon reboarding the ship. Please note that no contraband of any kind will be allowed.

Echizen, I am leaving the ship for a brief period to experience the hiking trails on the planet. I have left the First Officer in command, but I doubt there will be any issues while I'm off-ship. Please do not antagonize him or any other officers on the bridge.

Lastly, I've looked over your proposal. No, Karupin may not be an officer nor is he allowed on the bridge.

Why would I block you? You're not unexpected.

No promises on the cardboard cut outs... they're everywhere.

You still gotta show any purchases you made on planet though.

Perhaps it is merely seeing eight of you with a phaser at any one vantage point that has me questioning.

It will be eight crates of Vespian bourbon, assuming it is of the quality Tezuka suggests. Resist juggling the bottles.

I know how to handle my phaser.

If the captain said they're good, then they're good. And I'm a security officer, not a clown.

My disconcertion had numerous, not proficiency at its core.

Said captain rarely drinks.

Indeed. This is simply a standard instruction I now find it wise to specify.

Well I'm sure all my clones are awesome with their numerous phasers, too.

It doesn't mean he doesn't have taste.

... what sort of weirdos are you hanging out with where not juggling expensive bottles of booze needs to be given as instructions?

Having met their designer, maintain a level of scepticism.

As with any activity, experience is necessary for skill.

I believe you've met my new barkeep.

Well lucky for you, they aren't real phasers.

I have faith in our captain's ability to identify quality drinks.

Yeah. Though the memory is a bit hazy. I'm in no rush to refresh it though.

The fortune for that is wide spread.

Evidently as do I, since I am making the journey to the planet surface to investigate. I simply do not guarantee to purchase before trying it myself.

Then be assured the juggling comment was necessary.

Definitely. I don't want to run around gathering all the phasers before some lameass shoots himself in the foot.

Hey... do you think Fuji's gonna do this for the captain's birthday, too? It's coming up.

Maybe for your bartender but my crew is EAA trained and know how to handle goods.

Your underling staff included Tooyama-kun, does it not?

I've thought about little else since seeing the cutouts of yourself. I imagine so. Unless he has avoided having his image captured. In which case, I will strangle Fuji with his own camera cord.

See my first comment.

He's not involved with embarkation inspections.

Hmmm it's possible. Captain Tezuka is pretty fast when he needs to be.

Yeah? It's still lame.

Thank goodness for small mercies.

True. But his outreach officer is not without his own skill set.
